The University of Zakho welcomed Prof. Dr. Mohammed H. Sadiq, President of Koya University, during an official visit hosted by Dr. Diyar A. Saeed, President of the University of Zakho.

The visit took place on Thursday, September 17, 2026. During a joint meeting, the two university presidents discussed strengthening academic relations, exchanging scientific expertise, and creating further opportunities for cooperation between the University of Zakho and Koya University. The host side emphasized the importance of such visits in advancing the quality of higher education and supporting shared academic objectives.

As part of the visit program, the delegation also visited the College of Engineering. During the tour, the delegation was introduced to the college’s classrooms, technological infrastructure, and advanced scientific laboratories. The visit also included presentations on the equipment and scientific projects carried out by the college.
