On February 19, 2026, the University of Zakho successfully delivered a substantial collection of academic resources and essential medical supplies to the city of Chamchamal. This initiative, carried out under the supervision of Professor Dr. Diyar Abdulkarim Saeed, President of the University of Zakho, was organized under the slogan:
“From the Private Libraries of University Staff to the Public Library of Chamchamal.”

The campaign, which began on January 19, 2025, encouraged academic and administrative staff at the University of Zakho to contribute thousands of books across various disciplines. In parallel with this intellectual contribution, the University coordinated the donation of essential medical supplies and pharmaceutical treatments to support and strengthen the city’s healthcare infrastructure.

This initiative reflects the University of Zakho’s strong commitment to social responsibility and its continued efforts to support the development of the education and public health sectors across the region.
