A faculty member from the University of Zakho has received a prestigious scientific innovation award in recognition of an internationally registered patent, marking a notable academic achievement for the university.

On Monday, June 22, 2026, during a ceremony held at the main hall of Erbil Polytechnic University, Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presented certificates of appreciation to a number of academics from universities across the Kurdistan Region in recognition of their scientific innovations and patent achievements.
